MARKETRON INTERNATIONAL TO PROVIDE SALES FORECASTING AND ELECTRONIC CONTRACTING SOLUTIONS TO UNIVISION RADIO

Leading Broadcast Group to Deploy Marketron Radio Add-On Modules To Sales Departments Across 54 U.S. Stations

RAB 2004, Dallas—February 5, 2004— Marketron International today announced it will provide Sales Forecasting and Electronic Contracting solutions to Univision Radio. These add-on modules to the Marketron Radio inventory management system help sales operations increase revenues and improve productivity.

Marketron Sales Forecasting and Electronic Contracting will be deployed across 54 Univision Radio stations. A longtime Marketron client, Univision Radio cited ease-of-use, fast deployment and revenue generation potential as critical factors in the decision.

Marketron Sales Forecasting will enable Univision Radio Sales Managers to easily identify the best strategies to surpass revenue goals. Displaying live revenue, rate and inventory data against budget highlights projected results. “What if” analysis enables Sales Managers to calculate various revenue potential scenarios on the fly and quickly determine whether to change rate or increase volume.

Marketron Electronic Contracting will allow Univision Radio salespeople to focus on generating revenue rather than generating paperwork. It converts TapscanÒ schedules into Marketron contracts electronically, which improves salesperson productivity and reduces contract errors. It also enables real-time reporting on pending contracts to provide managers with more accurate sales and inventory tracking.

“Marketron is honored to expand our partnership with Univision,” said Mike Jackson, CEO of Marketron International. “The fact that one of the top ten radio groups in the U.S. has decided to increase its investment in the Marketron solution underscores the strength of our offering. We are pleased to have earned Univision’s confidence and look forward to delivering additional revenue and productivity benefits.”

Univision Radio will begin implementing Marketron Radio add-on modules in February 2004.

Marketron Radio: Connecting the Broadcast Enterprise
From proposal through traffic to billing, a station’s sales and fulfillment process requires input from many people across multiple departments. When each department maintains separate software systems, the entire operation suffers revenue and productivity losses.

Marketron Radio enterprise solutions integrate all departments and business processes across a station into a single system and database. Integration enables the sales, traffic and business departments to more easily share information, better optimize inventory and increase revenues.

Storing sales and inventory information in a common database allows for real-time access to data. Corporate managers can check numbers for individual stations or the entire group from their desktop; sales managers can make informed approval decisions in seconds; traffic directors can manage available inventory more effectively because they have the most complete information.

Connecting all departments electronically also eliminates redundant data entry and associated errors. Salespeople spend more time selling; traffic managers focus on optimizing inventory; station revenues increase.
