MARKETRON COMPLETES SAS-70 TYPE II CERTIFICATION FOR 2005 Audit Helps Broadcasters Comply With Sarbanes-OxleyBurlingame, Calif.—December 19, 2005—Marketron International today announced that it has completed a SAS-70 (Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70) Type II audit of its application hosting service by an independent accounting firm. This certification helps Marketron Hosting clients and their auditors comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for 2005. It also affirms that Marketron provides a consistent, reliable and secure operating environment to the 6,500 subscribers that utilize its hosting platform (roughly 40% of its total client base). SAS-70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A SAS-70 Type II audit analyzes a hosting service organizations controls over the information technology and processes that serve its clients. To comply with Sarbanes-Oxley mandates, public companies require SAS-70 Type II audit from their hosting service providers.
