Marketrons TV Sales clients began sending avails electronically via the companys free WebAvails service in 2000. Media buyers have been able to receive avails directly in the leading television media buying software, Donovan Data Systems TV Avail Manager (TAM) since 2003. Marketron clients send thousands of avails electronically per month and more than 11,000 media buyers have registered to receive WebAvails to date. Increasingly, advertising agencies are requesting electronic avails to reduce the data entry burden. In a letter sent to television stations earlier this month, MindShare North Americas President of Local Broadcast Kathy Crawford announced that starting in April 2006 it will only accept electronic avails that can be imported into the Donovans TAM software.
