Log Editor Find

 Click on any screen item for more information.

Accessed from the Log Editor’s View Menu, Find lets you search for anything on the log. Enter the text you want to search for, and click the Find button.

• The search is not case sensitive, so it does not matter if you enter upper or lower case letters.

• VT will search the log from the currently selected log item, moving toward the end of the log day.

• At the end of the log day, you will be asked if you want to continue the search from the start of the log.
• If no match is found by the time the search gets back to the starting point, you will be advised, and the search will end.
• If a match is found, the log line containing the matching text will be selected and the search will end.
• To repeat the search for the same text, press F3. A new search will be made starting from the currently selected line.

When the search wraps around to the start of the log, it will find again matches that it is found before. When you start seeing the same line again, you will know you found all matches.
