Software Developer

Division:  Development

Location:  Marketron Broadcast Solutions has primary offices in Opelika, AL, Denver, CO and Sun Valley, ID.  Our desire is to fill this position in the Opelika, AL office where the majority of the team resides.


You will be joining our software development team which is responsible for maintaining our existing core products as well as developing new products/services and integrating them into our existing products.


Desired Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Marketron’s core products have been acquired from various backgrounds and vary in technology stack. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in the following:
    • Microsoft C++/MFC
    • C#
    • SQL Server.
  • However, strengths in the following languages/environments would be advantageous:

  • Team player: Our products primarily serve radio stations and their advertisers. This is a specific niche of customer, and, often, coming up with good solutions is more of a product design issue than a technical/development issue.   Our company is primarily made up of employees who are very knowledgeable and have been working with our products for 10+ years. Being able to work with the existing team and carefully analyze and listen to customers and employees with industry knowledge is critical to becoming an effective team member.
  • Willingness to adapt: Working on multiple existing products with long histories and large code-bases, it becomes critical to adapt to the style/method of that product.  While we strive to adapt new technologies and practices where it makes sense, it is also important to keep existing code bases consistent with the practices already in place so that these products can continue to be effectively maintained as we continue to integrate them into other solutions.
  • Eager to learn and grow: Maintaining the existing products is a primary task, but our future is focused on integrating these products into newer solutions and technologies so that we can transition our customers and products into a new user experience and technology stack.  This often requires a large degree of creativity and coming up with new techniques to integrate these solutions together.  We are frequently tasked with accomplishing integrations or transitions that we have not tackled before.


Desired Experiences:

  • General Experience: We are looking for a candidate who has 2 to 5 years of software development experience in our primary technology stack (C++, C# and SQL).   This person should be very effective in implementing an agreed upon design through solid coding practices.
  • Commercial Software Development Experience: A strong history of working on commercial software through multiple release cycles and an understanding of what is involved in producing consistently reliable updates.


Specific Technical Experiences that Would Make you an Ideal Candidate:

  • C++/C# Integration: As we transition to C#, we are running into more and more places where we need creative C++/C# integration practices, particularly with MFC support.  Past experience with this sort of integration would be very beneficial.
  • Automated Testing: While this is not primarily a development effort, we are looking to embrace automated testing practices.   Working knowledge in this area would help us make the transition to better accommodate this approach in our development practices.
  • API Development Design: Experience in the consumption of SOAP/REST APIs and development of SOAP/REST APIs and solid standard practices around these would be of great benefit as we work to facilitate the integration of our products through APIs.
  • MVC/Web: Development experience with MVC web platform, javascript, HTML, CSS would help us expand on our development efforts as we grow in this area.

Client Engagement Associate

Division:  Digital

Location:  Denver, Colorado


The Associate will assist the Engagement Specialist and National Sales Manager with all aspects of client engagement include calls, emails, etc.  Additionally, this position will help manage the partner portal and assist with the design and development of content to support Pitch by Marketron partners.  Marketron Digital will provide a structured training program leading to the platform certification. This position will be primarily an inside support position which can lead to the Client Engagement Specialist.   Some travel may be required (10%).

This position is located in Denver, Colorado.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and setting up meetings
  • Conduct formal and informal training sessions for activated partners (in-person as well as through web-meetings)
  • Meet and exceed individual sales goals
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional teams, including Marketron’s Media Services, Marketing, and Product teams, to drive industry research, media strategy, marketing opportunities, and campaign optimizations
  • Maintain ongoing relationship management with new and existing media partners
  • Utilize industry trends, research tools and analysis to present the value proposition of Marketron to digital clients through intelligent presentations and thought leadership
  • Provide regular updates to management on pipeline and partnerships through


  • 4-year degree form accredited college or university (or associates degree with commensurate experience);
  • 1 year of work experience (media – digital, radio, TV or print experience a plus);
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing;
  • Customer service experience;
  • Proficient in MS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) desktop applications;
  • Proficient in the Social Media platforms;
  • Experience with Salesforce, Camtasia (or similar) is a plus;
  • Ultimate team player.

Essential Functions

    • Communicate with assigned accounts via calls, emails and other methods recorded in Salesforce;
    • All aspects of platform use (overview, positioning, campaign set-up, reporting, etc.)
    • Support partners with all aspects of use of the Pitch by Marketron platform;
    • Certification on the Pitch by Marketron digital marketing platform;
    • Assist with on-boarding of new partners;
    • Assist with training new partners on the platform;
    • Manage partner incentive programs;
    • Reporting on all aspect of the platform use;
    • Assist with the management of Pitch Partner Portal;
    • Assist with the development of training and other content in support of the use of Pitch by Marketron;

Working Conditions:

  • May be exposed to moderate noise levels (i.e. computers, printers, or light traffic)
  • May be required to work occasionally in evenings and/or weekends
  • May require travel domestically and internationally
