What should I tell my advertisers?

We were recently notified by our technology partner, Marketron, that they are experiencing a cyberattack that is impacting certain business operations. This includes Advertising Portal.

Advertisers are currently unable to access the portal. Marketron and industry-leading third-party cybersecurity firms are working around the clock to restore service. They shared the following statement:

Marketron recently discovered a cyberattack involving certain aspects of our network infrastructure that is causing an interruption in business operations. Immediately upon learning of this event, we took swift action to notify law enforcement, secure systems and information, and contain the event.

Marketron has engaged industry-leading third-party specialists to assist in the response and recovery efforts, which includes working diligently to investigate the source and root cause of this event, confirm its impact on systems, and restore full functionality as quickly and safely as possible.

Please know that any credit card information shared via PayNow is not involved in the current issue. The form that gathers the credit card information is from a third-party credit card processor, and no credit card data is collected on the Marketron network or stored in the Marketron system.

The integrity, safety and security of our systems and the information held in Marketron’s care is our highest priority. With the assistance of our third-party specialists, we are working diligently to identify the full nature and scope of the event including what, if any, impact there may be to customer and advertiser data. We will continue to investigate and provide additional information as it becomes available.
