Under new guidelines, advertisers on Facebook will not be able to create and run new ads about social issues, elections or politics in the United States between October 27, 2020 through November 3, 2020.  In addition, ads created prior to October 27th, that have delivered 1 or more impressions will have restrictions on what can be changed.


Provided below is a snapshot of what can/cannot be updated for active campaigns:

Campaigns launched before 10/27 (and have served at least 1 impression)

  • Edit budgets
  • Edit flight
  • Edit targeting (this may cause the campaign to go thru a review process again by FB)
  • Edit or upload new creative
  • Edit or provide new landing page
  • Edit or provide new body text
  • Edit the placement
